Authorities in the U.S. said three people were killed and at least 11 others were wounded in a shooting that happened late Saturday evening in the city of Philadelphia.
According to police inspector DF. Pace, officers were monitoring the South Street neighborhood, renowned for its entertainment and nightlife in downtown Philadelphia, when they heard several gunshots and spotted a number of suspects shooting into a huge crowd shortly before midnight.

Pace said that a police officer fired a shot from roughly 9 meters away at one of the criminals, but it was unclear if the subject was injured.
He said that the deceased were two men and a woman whose identities had not been released by police. The condition of the accident victims is still unclear.
Two handguns were discovered, according to police, but no arrests were made.
