Members of the Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of banning the import and distribution of books, publishing products, and music from Russia and Belarus.

According to "Russia Today", Ukrainian parliamentarian Zheleznyak said on his Telegram channel: "The parliament has temporarily banned the import and distribution of books and other publishing products from Russia, Belarus, and from the occupied territories of Ukraine."

Earlier, Sergei Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, said that the Ukrainian government is working hard to get rid of everything that is Russian and force the people to leave.

Lavrov pointed out that Russia wants to see Ukraine as a friend without banning the Russian language and Russian culture.
