Russia gives Ukrainian fighters in Donetsk until Wed. to surrender

The Russian Defense Ministry said it had given Ukrainian servicemen sheltering at the Azot chemical plant in the eastern city of Ukraine in the western part of Vieropdonetsk the opportunity to surrender on Wednesday.


Local officials say that the city and the Azot plant have become hotbeds of conflict in the past few weeks. This is because Russian troops trying to take over the city bombed hundreds of Ukrainian civilians and soldiers who were hiding in factories

.

Communist leader Sialam Yechuri said on Tuesday that senior politician Sharad Pawar refused to run for president of the opposition in the July 24 elections. The opposition will consider other names, he said.


The President of India is elected by members of an elective panel composed of elected members of both houses of Parliament and elected members of all state assemblies, including the capital Delhi and the Union Territory of Puducherry. If necessary, the elections will be held on July 21. The PNP has sufficient numbers to ensure the victory of its candidates.
