President Miloš Zeman is opposed to same-sex marriage in the Czech Republic.

President Miloš Zeman of the Czech Republic has said that he would not sign a bill allowing same-sex marriage if it is ratified by the country's parliament.

"The family is a partnership between a man and a woman," he stated, adding that if Parliament approves the same-sex marriage measure, he would not sign it.

Four of the five political parties in the Czech Republic's current coalition government submitted the measure in Parliament.
