Kim Jong-UN expresses full support to Russia. Amid war in Ukraine

Times England, June 12 (Yonhap) -- Despite worldwide criticism for his invasion of Ukraine, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un declared his complete support for Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, according to the country's official media.

According to North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency, the Russian people have "achieved enormous victories in completing the righteous cause of protecting the dignity and security of their nation despite facing all types of trials and suffering." "The Korean people fully support and encourage them."

Kim's apparent reference to the unjustified attack on Ukraine as a "legitimate reason" for keeping Russia safe is the latest sign that the two countries have had close ties for decades.

Despite rising worldwide condemnation of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Pyongyang has lately emphasized its strong relations with Moscow.

Kim was also sure that friendly relations would continue to grow in all areas and on the "path of defending international justice and securing global security."
