The governor of the Italian province of Tuscany, Eugenio Gianni, announced on Saturday that five people perished in a helicopter accident in the area and two passengers are still missing two days after the jet vanished from radar systems.


"The aircraft crashed in a hilly location along the boundary between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna," Gani said on Facebook. Today, the corpses of the five deceased were discovered.

The jet took off from Lucca in Tuscany on Thursday, destined for Treviso in northern Italy when it vanished from radar systems after being exposed to poor weather over a wooded highland region.


According to a statement from the firm "ekzagibashi" consumer goods, a subsidiary of the significant Turkish industrial group "ekzagibashi," seven individuals were on board the aircraft, including four Turkish businesspeople working for it who were attending an exposition on paper technology in Italy.

According to Lebanon's official news agency, the other two passengers were also Lebanese.
